Corrados have been out of production for nearly 17 years. So it's rare that new products are developed for these increasingly scarce automobiles. Most replacement items unique to the Corrado are becoming more scarce and items that are still available are usually components that are shared with other VW models.
So it's exciting when someone designs and creates fresh new products specific to the Corrado. One of those vendors is SpoonFedTuning. The people behind this organization produce mostly products for the Corrado exterior. Many of these items are made from high quality Composite materials and they produce them at affordable prices.
For instance, on my G60, I've found it virtually impossible to find replacement front grilles. The plastic front grille on the G60 has vulnerable tabs which easily break. The only alternatives for replacement is to either source another from a G60, or purchase an aftermarket grille which is usually fitted for the later model SLCs. The tabs on the SLC models do not match the tabs on the G60 and furthermore, the front does not align with the G60 headlamps. It protrudes further forward. So one must make modifications to replacement grilles just to mount them to their G60.
SpoonFedTuning actually makes a replacement badgeless grille for the early G60 model. Tabs and the dimensions are specific to the G60 front end making for a much more factory appearance. Another troublesome item is the rear plastic panel which holds the North American license plate. The European versions are flush mounted making the license plate integrate seamlessly into the panel and ultimately the overall exterior design. However, the US version seems to have been an afterthought at the Karmann factory--looking much like a feeble effort on VW's part to comply with US DOT regulations. And like the grille, SpoonFedTuning also has a solution for North America cars by offering a European quality rear license plate holder that matches the style and appearance of the European version. But unlike the inexpensive plastic of the original, SpoonFedTuning produces their parts using exotic and sometimes more expensive composite materials. I've ordered the rear license plate panel for my own G60 as my rear license plate panel has detached like so many other Corrados of this era. Many a Corrado owner has lost their rear license plates because the OEM part falls off the car while driving.
