Product evaluation - SpoonfedTuning Rear License Plate panel

I received my rear license plate panel from SpoonFedTuning. The purchase experience was very easy and communication from the vendor regarding status was prompt. Upon arrival, the first thing one notices is the attention to detail in the packaging. The people at SpoonFedTuning took extra care to ensure their fine products arrive unharmed and intact. This was carefully packaged with sufficient packaging surrounding this piece. 

Once open, closer inspection of the part reveals the use of high quality components. I was forced to replace the rear plastic panel simply because the mounting studs commonly break off with age. The panel is then often lost because the remainder of the panel is simply held on with double sided tape. The Spoonfedtuning part is a unique replacement part for this piece. One nice detail is the SpoonFedTuning logo embedded within the composite material. 

I purchased the fiberglass version of this part. There is a carbon fiber alternative for only a few dollars more. However, I wasn't sure if I was going to have this painted to color match or leave it black. It's original gel coating is smooth and shiny and is far more attractive than the OEM panel for which it replaces. This panel will mount the US licence plate flush --similar to the European version. The fit and finish are excellent. And all the necessary mounting hardware is supplied with the part. My only suggestion would be to include Secure Torx screws for the license plate mounts. Otherwise a small gripe considering the quality of this piece. 

The cost is very reasonable price for custom molded parts. As I mentioned in a previous post, SpoonFedTuning makes parts for a car that has been out of production for almost 20 years. No one makes these types of parts for the Corrado. These unique parts help refresh the appearance of our aging cars.
